Although
information on gene and protein analysis on various kinds of diseases
are presented in large quantity every day it has become essential
to obtain knowledge in bioinformatics in order to compile those experimental
data and information stored in database in a form of system biology
thereby drawing meaningful assumptions related to cause, formation
and development process of diseases, prediction of therapeutic reactions
and finally utilize these information in the development of new therapeutics
by drawing up strategies in the prevention and treatment of diseases.
MTRC Bioinformatics Core Service is aiming at providing concepts and
scope of bioinformatics as well as self study materials such as cyber
lecture notes to the researchers who are interested in bioinformatics
and giving them an opportunity to become bioinformatics specialists.
For those people who are already involved in research using bioinformatics
we have gathered overall softwares and databases that are available
today and categorized them according to research areas.
MTRC will continue to do its best to provide bioinformatics system
needed for the achievement of research goals meeting research demands
in Korea. We would appreciate it if you would send us your constructive
